Traffic paused on Broadway, making way for a Paul Revere re-enactor trotting down the middle of the roadway astride a chestnut-colored horse named Cannon Fire.
While runners wheezed through 26.2 miles across the Charles River on Monday, Somerville turned out to celebrate the 236th anniversary of the first battles of the American Revolution.
